Why a tulip?
The tulip is one of the flowers most worked in Ottoman art: in tiles, illumination, fabric and stone. Written in Arabic letters, its spelling uses the same letters as the word "Allah", which is why it holds a special place in the tradition.
Our signature is joining the tail of the letter to a tulip: leaves attached to the stem, in one piece. The meaning of your letter is as told on that letter's own page.
